Char Siu Chicken with Broccolini

Char siu is a type of barbecued pork found in the Guangdong province of China that is simultaneously sweet, spiced, and savory. While we love the traditional version, we also love this same style made with chicken thighs, which are also rich and meaty. The classic sauce is made with hoisin sauce, honey, 5 spice powder, rice wine, and soy sauce, which the chicken is cooked in and then it is drizzled over each plate just before serving for flavor in every bite.
