For a fast and flavorful dinner try this recipe with sweet Italian sausages. Hearty greens are roasted until tender and mixed with pasta, olive oil, garlic, and savory sausages. We used lacinato kale, but use any mix of greens you prefer. Dandelion greens will bring some welcome bitterness, chard earthiness, and collards add a cabbagey vibe. No matter which greens you choose, we think this meal is delicious

Garlicky Greens with Sausage and Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 sweet Italian sausages sausages
  • 4 oz gemelli pasta
  • 4 cups hearty greens, such as chard, kale, or dandelion greens, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Directions

1) Place sausages in a Suvie pan and place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

2) Place leafy greens, olive oil, and garlic in a second Suvie pan and stir to incorporate. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie. Input settings, and cook now or schedule.

Bottom Zone: Roast at 400°F for 30 minutes

Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 20 minutes

3) Place pasta in the Suvie pasta pot (green handles) and cover pot with lid. Place inside the Suvie Starch Cooker, ensuring the pot is centered on the hot plate. Input settings and cook now or schedule.

4) After the cook, remove all pans from your Suvie. Transfer pasta and greens to a large bowl, stirring to incorporate. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

5) Remove sausage from pan and cut into ½-inch rounds. Add sausage to the pasta, stirring to incorporate. Divide between bowls and serve.
