Elevate your pie game and bring this dangerously poppable showstopper to your next holiday party. This cook requires a non-negotiable 20 minute preheat to make sure the bottom of the pie gets maximum heat as soon as possible to prevent a soggy crust. We openly admit it takes a bit of patience and some pinching to prepare these tiny pies, but there’s no need for rolling or crimping and your guests are going to love this diminutive dish. Final words of advice, be sure to not overcrowd the pan and don’t get greedy with the filling – trust us, we tried.  

Pull-Apart Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 packages store bought uncooked pie crusts
  • 1 (12 oz) can of apple pie filling

Directions

1) Preheat your Suvie while you prepare the pie. Input settings and cook now. During preheat, roughly chop 12 oz apple pie filling. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 400°F for 20 minutes

Top Zone: Roast at 400°F for 20 minutes

2) Line a Suvie pan with parchment. On a lightly floured surface, unroll 2 pie crusts and cut 27 circles from the dough using a 2 ½” biscuit cutter or cup of a similar diameter.

3) Take one circle of pie crust in your hand, gently fold it in half and pinch the sides of the semicircle together to create a pocket. Add 1 rounded teaspoon of apple pie filling to the pie crust pocket and place pocket in the prepared pan, starting in one corner of the pan. Continue until pan is filled, arranging pockets at an angle. 

4) Once the preheat is finished and the Suvie pan is filled, load the pan into the bottom of your Suvie, input settings, and cook now.

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 400°F for 1 hour

Top Zone: Roast at 400°F for 0 minutes

5) After the bake, remove the pan from your Suvie. Let pie cool completely before removing from pan.

Just so-so. They are too tightly packed so the dough that is touching other dough does not get baked enough, even adding extra time.
