Thai Basil Beef with Jasmine Rice

This super flavorful meal will leave you saying…takeout, who? Ground beef, red bell peppers, and carrots are slow cooked in a mix of fish sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, garlic, and ginger; a bright and tasty combination of ingredients. After the cook, the beef and veggies are served over perfectly cooked jasmine rice and generously garnished with fresh basil and lime wedges. If you’re looking for an alternative to the ground beef in this recipe, feel free to substitute ground turkey or a vegan ground meat alternative.

What are the settings to cook the ground beef? I only see instructions for veggies (bottom zone)

Hi Ali, Suvie always applies the same cook settings to the top and bottom zone when Slow Cooking. Suvie never asks for the top zone setting when Slow Cooking because the time and temperature are predicated on whatever settings you use for the bottom zone. The ground beef has the same settings as the vegetables, but Suvie automatically sets the top zone once you input the settings for the bottom zone so you don’t have to input anything. Hope that clarifies the situation!

Will it all fit if I double the serving size? If so, what is the new cook time? I have a 3.0.

Hi John, given the size of the 3.0 pans you should be able to easily double this recipe. No need to increase the cook time.
