Meal Card: Falafel Pita Pocket

Filled with a generous amount of grilled vegetables and our tender chickpea-based falafel, Suvie’s pita pocket is the perfect summer meal. Our rich and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce ties everything together and will have the whole family coming back for more.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 2 packets Garlic Parmesan Sauce 
  • 1 – 2 packages Falafel 
  • 1 – 2 packages Grilled Vegetables 
  • 1 – 2 packages Pita Bread

Directions

1) Place garlic parmesan sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw (or refrigerate if scheduling). Set pita bread aside to thaw.

2) Cut open the falafel packages and place on the roasting rack (handles facing up) in a Suvie pan. Place falafel in the top zone of Suvie.

3) Before opening, tap grilled vegetables package against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open grilled vegetables and add to a second Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt, and freshly ground pepper). Place vegetables in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 30 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 35 minutes)

Top Zone: Roast at 375°F for 30 minutes 

5) When the cook is complete, remove pan with falafel from Suvie. Set aside the falafel and remove the roasting rack (be careful as it will be hot). Wrap the pita bread in aluminum foil and place in the Suvie pan, return to the Top Zone. Confirm 7 minute broil time and broil to warm pita breads. 

6) During the broil, massage the packet of garlic parmesan sauce if it has separated. After the broil, remove pans from Suvie. Cut the pita breads in half and gently open to create a pocket.

7) Fill the pita pockets with grilled vegetables, falafels, and drizzle with the garlic parmesan sauce.
