Meal Card: Swedish Meatballs with Gravy and Mashed Potatoes

Our Swedish Meatballs meal is a hearty, fall-ready take on meat and potatoes with a touch of European flair. These Swedish meatballs are made extra juicy and meaty with a mix of pork and beef, then served over buttery potato puree and sweet green peas.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 2 packages Swedish Meatballs and Gravy
  • 1 – 2 packages Green Peas 
  • 1 – 2 packages Potato Purée 

Directions

1) Place the green peas in the fridge to thaw during the cook.

2) Cut open the Swedish meatballs and gravy and add to a Suvie pan. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

3) Before opening, gently tap potatoes on the counter to break up. Open potatoes and pour into a Suvie pan. Add 2 tbsp butter, ½ cup milk or water, 1/2 tsp salt, and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, use 4 tbsp butter, 1 cup milk, 1 tsp salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste). 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 350°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast at 350°F for 20 minutes)

Top Zone:  Roast at 350°F for 30 minutes

5) When the cook is complete, remove potatoes from Suvie, leaving the meatballs in Suve to keep warm. Gently stir potatoes, butter, and milk together, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Open green peas and pour on top or to the side of the potatoes. Return to Suvie and broil for 7 minutes.

6) After the broil, divide the potatoes and peas between plates, top with the meatballs and gravy.
