Meal Card: Teriyaki Chicken with White Rice and Peas

Bottom Zone: Roast Mode at 325°F for 15 minutes for 2 people, or 20 minutes for 4 people 

Top Zone: Roast at 360°F for 27 minutes for 2 people, or 37 minutes for 4 people

Select YES from frozen when preparing a Rapid Cook Meal. 

Teriyaki Chicken with White Rice and Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz) chicken breasts
  • 10 oz White Rice
  • 3 oz Green Peas
  • 3 oz Teriyaki Sauce
  • 0.125 oz Sesame Seeds

Directions

1) Place the wire roasting rack into a Suvie pan. Cut open packages with the chicken. Place the chicken breasts on the roasting rack within the Suvie pan.

2) Cut open the package with the white rice and add to a separate Suvie pan. Then cut open the package with the green peas and place on top of the white rice already in the pan. Season rice and peas with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and freshly ground black pepper (season with 2 tbsp olive oil and 2 tsp salt if cooking a 4 person serving).

3)  Load the chicken in the top zone, and then load the rice and peas in the bottom zone. Remove teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds from freezer and set aside during the cook.

4) Using the track wheel, choose Cook Now. Alternatively, you can Store or Schedule the meal in the Suvie, but note you will need to select Cook Now to begin cooking your stored or scheduled meal. Input the following settings (Make sure to select “Yes” when prompted for Cooking from Frozen):

5) After the cook is complete, remove white rice and peas from Suvie. If desired, broil chicken for 7 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken breasts is 165°F. Remove chicken from Suvie. Divide between plates and garnish with the teriyaki sauce packet and sesame seeds. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
