Meal Card: Pesto Sausage Grain Bowl

Savor summer with Suvie’s new and verdant Pesto Sausage Grain Bowl. Juicy Italian pork sausage is served over a bed of orzo, garbanzo beans, kale, and green beans for an array of texture and flavors. Finished with an herbaceous pesto sauce, this meal will deliver warm weather vibes no matter the season.

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Italian Pork Sausage Links
  • 1-2 packets Pesto Sauce
  • 1-2 packages Orzo Garbanzo Kale Blend
  • 1-2 packages Green Beans 

Directions

1) Place packet of pesto in a bowl of warm water to thaw or place in the refrigerator to thaw if scheduling this meal.

2) Open package of Italian pork sausage and place in a Suvie pan. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie. 

3) Tap packets of orzo garbanzo kale blend and green beans on the counter to break up any large pieces. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil (2 tbsp for 4 servings) and season to taste with salt and pepper. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 minutes)

Top Zone: Roast at 375°F for 30 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 40 minutes)

5) Remove pans from Suvie. Transfer sausage to a cutting board to rest for 4 minutes. Stir orzo garbanzo kale blend and green beans together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between bowls. 

6) Cut sausage into rounds and divide on top of the vegetables. Open packet of pesto and drizzle over each bowl. Serve.
