Hoisin Chicken Lettuce Wraps

These vibrant lettuce wraps are the perfect blend of flavors and textures. Crisp sweet bell peppers meet tender, juicy umami-rich chicken. We punch up store bought hoisin sauce with fresh garlic and ginger to amplify the aromatic flavors in the sauce. Ready in less than 20 minutes, this delicious meal is sure to be part of the weekly rotation.

Hoisin Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 scallions
  • 8 large bibb lettuce leaves
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 lime, quartered

Directions

1) In a small bowl, stir together ¼ cup hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp ginger, and 1 tbsp garlic. Crumble 1 lb ground chicken into a greased Suvie pan. Drizzle hoisin mixture over the chicken and stir together with a spoon. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. → Hold the Tap to Scan tag to the logo on the appliance.

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 400°F for 15 minutes

Top Zone: None

2) While the chicken roasts, stem, seed, and thinly slice red bell pepper. Thinly slice scallion greens. 

3) Arrange lettuce leaves on a large platter. Remove chicken from Suvie, mashing and stirring to break into small pieces. Season to taste with salt and pepper.  Let mixture cool slightly.

4) Spoon hoisin chicken into lettuce leaves. Top with red bell pepper, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds. Garnish with lime juice just before serving.

Chef’s Tip: Easily double this recipe and split it between two Suvie pans to feed four or to have leftovers.
