This southwest cookout classic is a summertime favorite. Mouthwatering grilled steak bites are lacquered with BBQ sauce and served over a bed of tender white rice and a medley of black beans, roasted corn, and grilled bell peppers and onions. A sprinkling of fried onions adds a crispy finish to this delectable dish.
Meal Card: BBQ Grilled Steak Bites

Ingredients
- 1-2 packages grilled steak bites
- 1-2 packages white rice
- 1-2 packages SW vegetable blend
- 1-2 packets BBQ sauce
- 1-2 packets fried onions
Directions
1) Place packet of BBQ sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw. Place fried onions on the counter to thaw.
2) Open grilled steak bites into a Suvie pan. Pour half the BBQ sauce over the steak and place pan in the top zone of Suvie.
3) Before opening, tap package of white rice on the counter to break up any large pieces. Open into a Suvie pan with SW vegetable blend. Season generously with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie.
4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen
Suvie Cook Settings
Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 minutes)
Top Zone: Roast at 300°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 mins)
5) Remove pans from Suvie. Season rice and SW vegetables to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between plates with steak bites, drizzling extra BBQ sauce over each serving and garnishing with fried onions just before serving.
