Meal Card: Hot Honey Chicken Bowl

Our hot honey chicken bowl is one of the rare meals that is both healthful and delicious. It’s packed with nutrient dense sweet potato and our 9-grain orzo blend featuring quinoa, chickpeas, carrots, kale, and bell peppers. The vegetables are topped with chicken that is topped with hot honey. A finishing splash of balsamic vinaigrette adds a pop of bright flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packages roasted sweet potatoes
  • 1-2 packages orzo blend
  • 1-2 packages chicken breasts
  • 1-2 packets hot honey
  • 1-2 packets balsamic vinaigrette

Directions

1) Set hot honey and balsamic vinaigrette on the counter to thaw or place in the fridge to thaw if scheduling this meal. 

2) Before opening, gently tap sweet potatoes and orzo blend on the countertop to break up any large pieces. Combine sweet potatoes and orzo blend in a Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp oil, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp pepper). Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

3) Open chicken and place in a roasting rack set within a second Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp pepper). Place in the top zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 350°F for 20 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 30 minutes)

Top Zone:  Roast at 350°F for 24 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 34 minutes)

5) Remove pans from Suvie. Trasfer chicken to a cutting board and let rest 4 minutes before cutting into 1/2″ cubes. Transfer chicken to a large bowl and toss with hot honey. Season chicken to taste with salt and pepper.

6) Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette over the orzo and sweet potatoes, and then season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between bowls with chicken.
