Fast, filling, and flavorful, it’s got savory Italian meatballs blanketed in vibrant marinara sauce, topped with stretchy mozzarella cheese and served on a toasted hoagie roll. The meal comes complete with a side of crisp-tender green beans.
Meal Card: Italian Meatball Subs with Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1-2 packages Italian meatballs
- 2-4 hoagie rolls
- 1-2 packages mozzarella cheese
- 1-2 packages green beans
Directions
1) Set hoagie rolls and mozzarella on the counter to thaw (if scheduling this meal, place mozzarella in the refrigerator to thaw). Open Italian meatballs and place in a Suvie pan. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie.
2) Gently tap green beans against the counter to break apart, then open and add to a separate Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, and ½ tsp salt). Place in the bottom zone of Suvie.
3) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen.
Suvie Cook Settings
Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 18 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 25 minutes)
Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 30 minutes
4) Remove meatballs from Suvie, leaving green beans in the bottom zone to keep warm. Open hoagie rolls and top with marinara sauce, meatballs, and mozzarella cheese. Place Suvie roasting rack in the now-empty pan (handles facing down) and arrange sandwiches open-faced in the pan. Return pan to Suvie. Confirm 5 minute broil time.
5) Remove green beans and subs from Suvie. Divide between plates and serve.
