Our new Sweet Soy Braised Chicken is not one to miss! Enjoy super saucy and tender shredded chicken, piled high over a bowl of white rice, sweet peppers and onions, and verdant green peas. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Meal Card: Sweet Soy Braised Chicken with White Rice & Green Peas
Ingredients
- 1 – 2 packets Stir Fry Sauce
- 1 – 2 packages Shredded Chicken
- 1 – 2 packages Peppers and Onions
- 1 – 2 packages Green Peas
- 1 – 2 packages White Rice
Directions
1) Place stir fry sauce in a bowl of hot water for 2-3 minutes to thaw.
2) Open shredded chicken and place in a Suvie pan. Before opening, tap the pepper & onions against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open and place around the chicken. Cut open stir fry sauce and pour on top of the chicken.
3) Gently tap white rice and green pea packages against the counter to break up any large pieces. Pour into a second Suvie pan and season with 2 tbsp water, 1 tbsp olive oil, and 1/4 tsp salt (for 4 servings, season with 4 tbsp water, 2 tbsp olive oil, and ½ tsp salt).
4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen.
Suvie Cook Settings
Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 mins (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 mins)
Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 27 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 39 mins)
5) After cooking, remove chicken from Suvie, leaving white rice and peas in Suvie to keep warm. Use two forks to separate the chicken and stir into the sauce and peppers and onions. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
6) Return pan to Suvie. Confirm 10 minute broil time for the chicken, and cook.
7) After the broil, remove both pans from Suvie. Fluff the white rice and peas with a fork and season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide rice between plates and top with chicken.
