Baked Eggs with Spiced Hash Browns
Ingredients
- 3 cups frozen, diced, hash brown potatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 6 large eggs
- ½ cup shredded cheese
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
In a Suvie pan, stir together potatoes, onion, chili powder, and 1 tsp salt.
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs and ½ tsp salt together until smooth. Stir in cheese. Spray a Suvie pan with cooking spray and then pour egg mixture into the pan.
Insert pans into your Suvie, input settings, and cook now or schedule.
Suvie Cook Settings
Bottom Zone: Slow Cook Low for 45 minutes
Remove both pans from your Suvie. Drizzle vegetable oil over the potatoes and then broil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove eggs and cut into 4 portions. Divide eggs and potatoes between plates and serve.
Note: If you would like to make this recipe in Suvie 1.0, insert pans into the top zones of Suvie, fill reservoir, and set to Slow Cook on Low for 45 minutes.

Hi AK, Suvie always applies the same cook settings to the top and bottom zone when Slow Cooking. Suvie never asks for the top zone setting when Slow Cooking because the time and temperature are the same as whatever settings you use for the bottom zone. Suvie automatically sets the top zone once you input the settings for the bottom zone so you don’t have to input anything. Hope that clarifies the situation!
