How to Make Breakfast Sausage Seasoning

For a flavorful and herby start to the day, add some of this spice blend into your breakfast seasoning repertoire. Mix it into ground pork for patties or sprinkle it over bacon for a hint of caramelized sweetness, or keep it vegetarian friendly and use this breakfast blend in eggs or on veggies.

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes


1) In a medium bowl with a fork, combine brown sugar, salt, parsley, sage, thyme, pepper, and red pepper flakes. 

2) Add ½ of total mix to 1 lb ground pork and cook as desired or store in an airtight container and keep in a dry, dark location.
