Meal Card: Lemon Tahini Chicken Bowl

For a nutrient dense meal that packs a punch, try our Lemon Tahini Chicken Bowl. Juicy chicken breasts are slathered with creamy lemon tahini sauce and served atop our 9-Grain orzo blend studded with chickpeas, quinoa, carrots, and red bell peppers. A side of tender peas adds a touch of sweetness to this healthy meal.

Lemon Tahini Chicken Bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 – 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 – 2 packets lemon tahini sauce  
  • 1 – 2 packages 9-Grain Orzo Blend 
  • 1 – 2 packages Green Peas 

Directions

1) Place lemon tahini sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw or place in the refrigerator to thaw if scheduling this meal. 

2) Open chicken and place on the roasting rack (handles facing up) in a Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and freshly ground black pepper). Place chicken in the Top Zone of Suvie.

3) Before opening, tap orzo blend and green pea packages against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open orzo blend and peas, and add to a second Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and freshly ground black pepper). Place orzo and peas in the Bottom Zone of Suvie.

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 minutes)

Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 24 minutes  (for 4 servings, Roast for 34 minutes)

5) When the cook is complete remove pans from Suvie and set chicken aside to rest for 4 minutes. Stir orzo blend and peas together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between plates. After resting, divide the chicken between plates and drizzle with lemon tahini sauce.
