Meal Card: Cashew Chicken with Tamari Stir Fry Sauce

Indulge in a Chinese-American takeout favorite with our new Cashew Chicken meal. Tender chunks of chicken are roasted in our savory stir fry sauce alongside sweet bell peppers and onions. We serve the glossy, garlicky chicken with plenty of fluffy white rice and top with crunchy roasted cashews for an array of textures and flavors that will have you coming back for more. 

Meal Card: Cashew Chicken with Tamari Stir Fry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packets Stir Fry sauce
  • 1-2 packages diced chicken
  • 1-2 packages peppers & onions
  • 1-2 packages white rice 
  • 1-2 packets roasted cashews

Directions

1) Place packet of stir fry sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw. Place cashews on the countertop to thaw. 

2) Open package of diced chicken and peppers & onions. Add to a Suvie pan with the thawed stir fry sauce. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie. 

3) Before opening, tap package of white rice on the counter to break up any large pieces. Open into a second Suvie pan and season with oil, salt, and pepper [Chef’s Tip: Season with sesame oil for even more flavor]. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 mins (for 4 servings, Roast for 25 mins)

Top Zone:  Roast at 350°F for 30 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 40 minutes) 

5) Remove pans from Suvie. Stir chicken, peppers, onions, and sauce together until cohesive. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fluff rice with a fork and season to taste with oil, salt, and pepper. Divide rice between plates, spooning chicken and vegetables over the rice. Garnish with cashews and serve.
