Meal Card: Shawarma-Style Chicken Grain Bowl

Prepped in 5 minutes and ready in under an hour, our new Shawarma-Style Chicken Grain Bowl is just as convenient as ordering takeout – and a lot better for you, too! Enjoy juicy and boldly flavorful chicken heaped over our veggie-forward orzo blend and sweet green peas, complete with a generous drizzle of creamy garlic parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 2 packets Garlic Parmesan Sauce 
  • 1 – 2 packages Shawarma-Style Chicken 
  • 1 – 2 packages Orzo Blend 
  • 1 – 2 packages Green Peas 

Directions

1) Place garlic parmesan sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw (or refrigerate if scheduling).

2) Cut open the shawarma-style chicken and place in a Suvie pan. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie. 

3) Before opening, tap orzo blend and green peas packages against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open and add to a second Suvie pan. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper. For 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and freshly ground pepper. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 mins (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 mins)

Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 27 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 39 mins)

5) When the cook is complete, remove the chicken and pull apart with two forks.

6) Return pan to the top zone of Suvie. Confirm 7 minute broil time for the Top Zone and broil chicken. Leave the orzo in the bottom zone to keep warm.

7) During the broil, massage the garlic parmesan sauce together if it has separated. After the broil, remove pans from Suvie.

8) Divide orzo blend and green peas between plates. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces and place on top of the orzo and peas, then drizzle with the garlic parmesan sauce.
