Meal Card: Smothered Pork Chops and Gravy

Sunday supper just got a whole lot easier thanks to our Smothered Pork Chops meal. Savory Swedish gravy is poured over juicy roasted pork chops and served with a side of roasted potatoes and sweet green peas. To finish, a sprinkle of fried onions adds a welcome crunch to this classic homestyle meal.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packages pork chops
  • 1-2 packages roasted potatoes
  • 1-2 packages green peas
  • 1-2 packages Swedish gravy
  • 1-2 packages fried onions

Directions

1) Place packet of Swedish gravy in a bowl of hot water to thaw or place in the fridge to thaw if scheduling this meal. Place packet of fried onions on the counter to thaw. 

2) Open pork chops onto a Suvie roasting rack set within a Suvie pan. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie.

3) Open potatoes and peas into a Suvie pan. Season generously with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 minutes) 

Top Zone: Roast at 325°F for 25 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 30 minutes) 

5) Remove pans from Suvie, transfer pork chops to a cutting board to rest for 4 minutes. Transfer gravy to a microwave safe bowl and heat in the microwave in 30 second increments until hot. 

6) Season potatoes and peas to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between plates with pork chops, drizzling hot gravy over each serving and sprinkling with fried onions just before serving.
