Meal Card: Swedish Beef Meatballs

Indulge in the comfort of tender, savory Swedish beef meatballs, perfectly paired with a velvety potato puree and a rich, classic gravy. Served with a side of sweet green peas, this simple yet satisfying meal brings the warmth of a home-cooked Scandinavian feast straight to your table.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packages Swedish beef meatballs
  • 1-2 packets Swedish gravy
  • 1-2 packages potato puree
  • 1-2 packets green peas

Directions

1) Place packet of Swedish gravy in a bowl of hot water to thaw. Place peas on the counter to thaw. If scheduling this meal, place gravy and peas in the fridge to thaw. 

2) Open Swedish beef meatballs into a Suvie pan. Place pan in the top zone of Suvie. 

3) Open potatoes into a Suvie pan. Add 1 tbsp olive oil or butter, 1/2 cup milk or water, 1/2 tsp salt, and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, use 2 tbsp oil, 1 cup milk, and 1 tsp salt). Place pan in the bottom zone of Suvie. 

4) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 350°F for 15 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 20 minutes)

Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 30 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 35 minutes) 

5) Remove potatoes from Suvie, leaving meatballs to keep warm. Stir potatoes to combine with milk and butter. Remove green peas from the fridge, open, and pour on top or to the side of the potatoes. Return to Suvie and broil for 7 minutes.

6) Open gravy and transfer to a microwave safe container, heat in the microwave in 30 second increments until hot.

7) After the peas are cooked, divide potatoes, peas, and meatballs between plates. Top meatballs with gravy and season to taste with salt and pepper.
