Our Favorite Recipes for a Romantic Valentine’s Day

Snuggle up at home and enjoy a delicious Valentine’s Day dinner courtesy of Suvie. This list has an assortment of decadent meals to choose from whether you’re after a classic filet mignon, a fresh lobster salad, or fun chicken tinga tacos. For dessert, indulge in flourless chocolate cake or light ricotta cake with raspberry sauce.

1) Roasted Salmon with Herb Butter

Flaky salmon filets get a generous dose of flavor from our easy herb butter. A simple yet ultra flavorful combination of butter, herbs, and lemon zest makes this dish shine. Serve with a simple salad or roast broccoli florets in the top zone while the salmon cooks for a complete meal for two.

2) Citrusy Roast Beets

Citrusy Roast Beets Over Orzo

This multifaceted dish will be the star side at your next dinner. A bright, citrusy vinaigrette is the perfect dressing for earthy, sweet beets in this delicious dish. The beets are arranged over orzo and sprinkled with salty feta and crunchy almonds for texture and flavor in every bite.

3) Seared Filet Mignon with Broccoli Rabe and Farro

We’re bringing you filet mignon with garlicky broccoli rabe and buttery, parmesan studded farro to enjoy for a romantic Valentine’s Day. If you can’t find broccoli rabe (also known as rapini) you can use broccolini or broccoli instead. Plump and perfectly chewy, farro is the ideal grain to pair with this meal.

4) Rosé Butter Lobster Salad

This stunning and elegant salad is the perfect treat yourself meal. Tender pieces of lobster are cooked, sous vide, with a compound butter made with rosé wine and chopped chives. The salad base is a mixture of baby gem lettuce leaves topped with cucumber, avocado, and fresh basil with a simple dressing of fresh lemon juice and olive oil.

5) Chicken Tinga Tacos

For a spicy Valentine’s Day try our chicken tinga tacos. The chicken is braised with smoky, spicy chipotle peppers, savory tomatoes, and sour tomatillos before being shredded for the perfect taco texture.

6) Halloumi & Fattoush Salad

Halloumi and Fattoush Salad

For a delicious vegetarian dinner this Valentine’s Day, enjoy our halloumi & fattoush salad. We broil the halloumi with a little olive oil which gives the cheese a crisp golden crust. Fattoush, a Lebanese salad featuring fried bread, adds freshness. The combination of tender cheese, crunchy pita chips, and juicy vegetables lifts this salad above any normal dinnertime fare.

7) Flourless Chocolate Cake

You only need five ingredients to make this rich and decadent chocolate cake. As there is no chemical leavener in this recipe, whipping the eggs fully and completely is essential to achieving the ethereal texture this dessert is known for. Because this recipe uses so few ingredients, we recommend using high quality chocolate bars for this cake.

8) Ricotta Cake with Raspberry Sauce

This delicious ricotta cake is bright and fruity thanks to a winning combination of lemons and raspberries. This cake is a true chameleon, fitting in at the breakfast table, after a casual dinner, or plated and served for an elegant finish to any meal.

9) Tres Leches

Tres Leches, which means “three milk” in Spanish, is a decadent Mexican sponge cake heavily scented with vanilla and cinnamon. This distinctive cake is poked with a skewer and soaked with a sweet milk mixture that gives it its unique texture. The cake’s aerated crumb gives the cake enough structure to absorb all the extra liquid without becoming soggy. A whipped cream topping adds an ethereal contrast to the sweet, spongy cake.

10) Chocolate Cheesecake

Chocolate Cheesecake

This creamy, rich cheesecake is a chocolate lover’s dream. A blend of milk and dark chocolate provides deep chocolate flavor that compliments the tang of the cream cheese. We double down on the chocolate in the crust, which is made with dark chocolate filled Oreo cookies. A shower of chocolate shavings (use a potato peeler to shave the sides of a chocolate bar) finishes off this decadent dessert.
