Without a preheat step, Suvie gets to work quickly. For a fresh, flavorful, and fast side dish, try our recipe for garlic roasted green beans. First we toss the green beans in olive oil and minced garlic and then roast for 15 minutes until they just begin to soften, but still retain some crunch. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice to finish this classic dish. Note: If you would like to double this recipe, simply divide between two Suvie pans and set top zone to cook for 15 minutes.
Garlic Roasted Green Beans
Ingredients
- 8 oz green beans, trimmed
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Directions
1) Combine 1 lb green beans, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp ground black pepper in a large bowl, tossing to coat. Transfer to a Suvie pan. Insert pan into your Suvie, input settings, and cook now or schedule.

Bottom Zone: Roast at 400° for 15 minutes
Top Zone: None
2) After the cook, drizzle lemon juice over the green beans, season to taste with salt and pepper, and serve.

Comes together really quick. I used frozen green beans and selected “frozen” when inputting settings. They came out perfectly for the thin green beans I used. If you have thicker green beans, you might need to add a little time depending on the texture you’re wanting. I like mine on the softer side.
