Sausage Egg Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs (not included in your order)
- 1 package pepper jack cheese
- 1 package pork breakfast sausage
- 1 package English muffins
Directions
1) Prepare the Eggs
Mist a Suvie pan with cooking spray or lightly grease with oil. Whisk together 6 eggs with salt and pepper to taste. Pour the eggs in the greased Suvie pan, and place in the Bottom Zone of Suvie.
2) Prepare the Sausages
Place the sausages on the roasting rack set within a Suvie pan. If you have a Suvie 3.0, rotate the rack so that the handles are facing down and the rack is in the highest position. Place sausages in the Top Zone of Suvie. Input settings and cook now or schedule. Select “No” when asked if cooking from frozen.
Suvie Cook Settings
Bottom Zone: Roast at 275° for 15 minutes
Top Zone: Roast at 350°F for 10 minutes
3) While the eggs cook, defrost English muffins in a microwave using 30 second increments. Slice and toast the muffins until lightly brown using a toaster or dry skillet over medium-high heat. Butter the English muffins if you like, and divide between plates.
4) When the eggs finish cooking, immediately remove from Suvie. Add the shredded pepper jack cheese and return to Suvie. Remove the pan with sausages and flip to the other side. Return to Suvie and Broil both zones for 5 minutes.
5) After broiling, remove eggs from Suvie and carefully use a spatula to transfer to a cutting board. Cut into 8 equal squares. Add 2 egg squares to each English muffin. Remove the sausages from Suvie and add on top of the eggs.
Optional garnishes: combine equal parts mayonnaise and Dijon mustard for a dijonaise spread, or add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce or salsa.
