Sausage Cacciatore Over Egg Noodles

Cacciatore is a classic Italian dish that marries the sweet flavor of onion and bell pepper with the bright tang of tomato. There are countless iterations of this dish, and ours is a break from the traditional, utilizing Italian sausages instead of chicken or rabbit. In this dish, we roast the sausages in marinara to infuse the sauce with even more flavor.

Bottom Zone: Roast at 350°F for 45 minutes

3) While the sausages and pepper cook, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook until just al dente, about 7 minutes.

4) Remove pans from Suvie. Transfer sausages to a cutting board. Divide egg noodles between bowls and top with marinara sauce followed by the peppers and onions. Cut sausages into rounds and divide between servings. Garnish with parmesan cheese.

Chef’s Tip: Any type of sausage can be used in this recipe. We opted for Italian chicken, but pork-based or vegetarian sausages would also work well.
