Our 9 Favorite Recipes of 2023

It’s time for your Suvie end of year wrap up! We’ve rounded up some of our absolute favorite recipes from the past year. From tangy five spice pork ribs to silk smooth tomato soup to decadent chocolate cheesecake, this list has something for everyone. If there’s a recipe on this list that you haven’t tried yet, we encourage you to give it a whirl – they’re the best of the best!

1) Yogurt Marinated Garlic Chicken

We love this recipe because it’s quick and lends maximum flavor payoff with little effort. Using yogurt as a marinade is a classic method that yields juicy chicken with little effort. Sauteing garlic and spices in olive oil and adding the mixture to the yogurt pumps up the flavor of the marinade.

2) Slow Cook 5 Spice Pork Ribs

We took our ever popular Memphis-Style Wet Rib recipe and gave it a Cantonese twist. We rub the ribs with a mixture of Chinese 5 spice powder, sugar, salt, pepper, and cayenne for a spicy, sweet, and fragrant touch before slow cooking for six hours. Afterwards, the ribs are rubbed with hoisin sauce and broiled to finish. Wash these ribs down with a cold Tsingtao for the perfect meal.

3) Tikka Masala Stuffed Eggplants

Tikka Masala Stuffed Eggplant

We’ve built the bowl right into the recipe with this delicious tikka masala dish. We’ve filled the eggplant with chickpeas and a store-bought simmer sauce for bold flavor with incredibly quick prep. After the slow cook, top these stuffed curry eggplants with a creamy Greek yogurt drizzle and fresh cilantro for a cool, bright finish.

4) Spring Lamb Chops with Asparagus and Peas

This springtime dish is filled with fresh flavor thanks to ample amounts of lemon and mint. If you can find fresh English peas, we recommend them for their sweetness and crisp texture, but frozen peas will also work.

5) Tomato Soup with Gruyere Croutons

Tomato Soup with Gruyere Croutons

We think tomato soup is best enjoyed during the cold winter months, when tomatoes are most certainly not in season. Luckily, high quality canned tomatoes have the bright acidity of fresh, ripe summertime tomatoes. The soup gets its body from olive oil and white bread, which help to thicken the soup. We top with crunchy, cheesy croutons for textural contrast.

6) Bacon Cheddar Egg Bites

Crispy bacon is the perfect punctuation mark for creamy rich egg bites. Our all purpose egg bite recipe consists of cottage cheese, eggs, and shredded cheese for a dense, yet pillowy texture. We pair the bacon with cheddar cheese for a classic combination that will start your morning off on the right foot.

7) Garlic Lime Shrimp with Watermelon Salsa

Garlic Lime Shrimp

Brighten up mealtime with our delicious sous vide garlic lime shrimp. Served with a watermelon salsa dressed in sharp lime juice and velvety olive oil, this dish emanates ceviche-style freshness.

8) Chocolate Cheesecake

Chocolate Cheesecake

This creamy, rich cheesecake is a chocolate lover’s dream. A blend of milk and dark chocolate provides deep chocolate flavor that compliments the tang of the cream cheese. We double down on the chocolate in the crust, which is made with dark chocolate filled Oreo cookies.

9) Sweet Corn Macadamia Shortbread Bars

Sweet Corn & Macadamia Shortbread Bars

These incredibly tender shortbread bars have a melt-in-your-mouth flakiness reminiscent of a buttery pie crust. To add even more texture and flavor, we’ve folded in fresh sweet corn and roasted macadamia nuts for a burst of natural sweetness and a salty crunch.
