6 Best Desserts for Valentine’s Day

Sharing is caring, and we’re all about spreading the love this Valentine’s Day. With that sentiment in mind, here are our six favorite desserts perfect for sharing. From soft, cinnamon laced snickerdoodle bars to nutty halvah brownies to tangy coconut lime bars, there’s something for everyone on this list. Serve any of these desserts on a platter or wrap them individually to give as gifts.

1) Coconut Lime Cookie Bars

These unique cookie bars pack a tropical punch thanks to the combination of sweet coconut and tangy lime. Toasting the coconut gives it a nutty aroma that adds an additional layer of flavor to the bars.

2) White Chocolate & Macadamia Nut Cookie Bars

Mix anything salty, nutty and crunchy with sweet, melty chocolate and it’s a bonafide winner in our book. We’ve cooked up our version of this well-known cookie and come out with a soft and chewy bar complete with caramelized white chocolate chips thanks to the longer cook time.

3) Snickerdoodle Bars

Snickerdoodle Bars

A snickerdoodle is essentially a velvety sugar cookie with ample amounts of cinnamon, and we love this cookie for its simplicity. In this recipe we took the traditional snickerdoodle and turned it into an ethereal cake-like bar, perfect after dinner or with a cup of coffee. We top the bars with turbinado (or demerara) sugar for a crunchy finish.

4) Gluten Free White Chocolate Tahini Bars

The special ingredient in these bars is  rice flour, which adds a satisfying chewy and crumbly texture that tastes phenomenal whether you eat gluten or not. The tahini lends subtle bitterness to the cookie bars which is punctuated by sweet morsels of white chocolate.

5) Halvah Brownies

Halvah is a textural delight. Soft to the touch, halvah is crispy and layered on the tongue with a sweet and nutty flavor. Made with sesame seeds and sugar, halvah makes the perfect topping for rich chocolate brownies. The brownies are loaded with chocolatey flavor thanks to a combination of chopped chocolate and cocoa powder.

6) Peanut Butter Cookie Bars

These cookie bars pack a nutty punch thanks to a double dose of peanuts. The combination of ground honey roasted peanuts and peanut butter ensures toasty, peanut flavor in every bite. A touch of cinnamon adds a warming spice that compliments that natural flavor of the peanuts.
