Crispy Falafel and Garlic Sauce with Whole Grain Orzo and Kale

Skip the food truck and try our delicious crispy falafel meal instead. A nutrient rich combination of kale, quinoa, orzo, chickpeas, and shredded vegetables provides the perfect base for crisp falafel. A generous drizzle of creamy garlic parmesan sauce brings it all together.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 2 packets Garlic Parmesan Sauce 
  • 1 – 2 packages Falafel 
  • 1 – 2 packages Orzo Blend  
  • 1 – 2 packages Kale

Directions

1) Place garlic parmesan sauce in a bowl of hot water to thaw (or refrigerate if scheduling).

2) Cut open the falafel packages and place on the roasting rack (handles facing up) in a Suvie pan. Place falafel in the Top Zone of Suvie.

3) Before opening, tap orzo package against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open orzo blend and add to a second Suvie pan.

4) Tap kale package against the countertop to break up any large pieces. Open kale and add on top of the orzo. Season with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper (for 4 servings, season with 2 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt, and freshly ground pepper). Place orzo and kale in the Bottom Zone of Suvie.

5) Input settings and cook now or schedule. Be sure to select “Yes” when asked if cooking from frozen. 

Suvie Cook Settings

Bottom Zone: Roast at 325°F for 30 minutes (for 4 servings, Roast for 35 minutes)

Top Zone: Roast at 375°F for 30 minutes

6) When the cook is complete, remove pans from Suvie. Stir orzo and kale together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between plates. Top the orzo blend with the falafel fritters and serve with the garlic parmesan sauce.
